There are some times when you’re sitting in the movie theater and the soundtrack that you’re hearing doesn’t really seem to “matter” or strike a chord with you. Everyone has their own personal tastes, and that’s fine. But there is one soundtrack from the 90’s that I blasted over and over and over again (on cassette tape), that if you don’t like it… I don’t know if we can be friends.
Obviously, this is not my copy. I’m pretty sure all my tapes are sitting in a box in my mother’s basement.
Please put aside your “hate” for Vanilla Ice, and lose yourself in the kickin’ beats. Some might say that I have “no idea what I’m talking about” or call me “crazy”, but what I do know… is just about every word to every song on this soundtrack. There aren’t a lot of soundtracks I can say that about. Let’s see, TMNT 2, West Side Story, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and Team America World Police. Okay, that’s all I can come up with on a whim as I’m writing this.
The studio probably could have taken a safer route and gone with something from Kenny Loggins. (c’mon, he did just about every other soundtrack in the 80s and 90s) I’m glad they didn’t.
